Construction began in November 2021 on Milliken Heights, located in the heart of Old Orchard Beach. This brand-new construction anticipates opening to tenants in February of 2023. Milliken Heights is a short walk to groceries, pharmacies, banks, the library, and Maine’s longest beach and is steps away from the bus line providing access to neighboring communities.
The 4-story building will consist of mixed-income apartments that are age-restricted, ages 55 and over. Milliken Heights features 55 one-bedroom apartments. Included in the rent are one parking space, fitness center and wi-fi. The property also features a community room and coin-op laundry. Milliken Heights is being built to Passive House standards and will boast triple paned windows and doors, insulation that far surpasses that of typical construction and heating/cooling via mini-split heat pumps in each apartment.
