Hartley Block

Overview

The Hartley Block opened in March 2019. In 2004 and 2006, four connected historic building on Lisbon Street suffered extensive fire damage and were condemned and demolished, leaving a gaping hole in Lewiston's most iconic street. One of the buildings was the site of the 1906 art studio of Marsden Hartley, a noted early modern American painter born and raised in Lewiston.The Hartley Block is a mixed use, mixed-income project featuring 63 rental apartments and 4,000 sq. ft. of retail space along Lisbon Street. The one, two and three-bedroom apartments vary in size from 595 sq. ft. to 1,080 sq. ft. Included in the rent are heat, hot water, a fitness center, community room, children's playroom, indoor bike storage room, complimentary wi-fi and one covered parking space directly behind the building. Within easy walking distance are the public library (across the street), shops, restaurants, cafes, and two major parks.
